Warwick Valley Central School District is once again offering Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) for the 2026-27 school year!
This special program is funded by a New York State Education Department (NYSED) grant and provides early learning experience for the children of WVCSD residents. Children enrolled in the district’s UPK program will attend class five hours per day, five days a week, for all 180 days of the educational year.
As required by NYS regulations, the district will hold a lottery to determine who will be awarded the available slots for 2026-2027. This year's lottery will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. If your student is selected, you will be notified by June 8, 2026.
- Lottery Sign-Ups close on Monday, May 18, 2026 @ 4:00 pm.
Please note that the district will not be selecting students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only fully completed and approved 2-step application/registrations received by 4:00 pm on May 18, 2026 will be included in the selection process.
The 2026-27 program is limited to children who turn four years old by December 1, 2026 and who are residents of the District by May 4, 2026.
